What is Centella asiatica?

Centella(Gotu Kola) grows in tropical swampy areas. The stems are slender, creeping stolons, green to reddish-green in color, connecting plants to each other. The leaves are borne on pericardial petioles, around 2 cm (0.79 in). The rootstock consists of rhizomes, growing vertically down. Centella Asiatica contains a large variety of triterpene, including α-amyrin extract. Main ingredients: Asiaticoside,Madecassoside. The appearance is brown-yellow to white fine powder, a bitter mouthfeel.
